Nice texture, interesting color.. I find the far shore a bit distracting. Take a look at a crop with just the river. Brings it up a click. In this old fools opinion. Great shot

I've just tried to crop out the shore but then this ugly part of wet soil in lower part of the photo becomes more prominent and takes all the attention.

Rather late then never. Very, Very nice. My only thing is, it seems like the pier is pushed uncomfortable high. I realize you want to get as much of this wonderful grass in the shot, But I think an 8x10 crop, taking out some of the bottom, brings the pier more in proportion. To quote a very wise old hippy "In this old fools opinion"

Rick and oldhippy, don't even make a joke with the "old fools" choice of words! I'm not accepting that kind of language in my thread.You may be "old and awesome" kind of guys.

I don't know, really, the suggestions you made are reasonable and I see your point but both of times, with changes applied, I came back to my edit. I kind of prefer it that way.
