Chaos

I spent a couple hours exploring one of the most chaotic, geologically violent, harsh, knothole of a landscape I've ever been in. I didn't take my tripod so was limited to hand-held snaps. The temp hit 97f in the wide open. Fun- gottago back and spend some days.

Great color! But what's that green in the shadows? especially on the right side?

Love the contrast though!

Probably lichen, it grows on the rocks all over the place. One of the reasons I went there was to check out the comment on the green mentioned in this thread;

It seems minor, but I've been trying to put together how I interpret what I see in an environment alien to most, and in relation to how other photographers present the same and similar locations.
