Cheap material for backdrops?

I want to get a seamless backdrop for my budget home studio I am setting up but what are the best options? I have already over spent so the cheaper the better, like around $10 or less if possible.

So far am considering white banquet table paper, 1.2m X 5m for $8 but I worry it may be too fragile to step on as well as being a little on the narrow side... Any alternative suggestions?

For what type of photography?

with your limit of $10 ... I can't think of anything except what they may have at the dollar store.

Narrow width or so-called half width seamless paper, which is about 4.5 feet wide, is a PITA for anything except small products, and is VERY limiting for people; standard nine foot wide seamless photo paper may be expensive but it lasts a pretty good long while, and is truly worth the money! Thunder gray is a good,versatile color. The nine foot width makes it actually useful.

On a budget though...hmmm...microfiber blankets, used curtains or drapes from Goodwill...dropcloths from painting supply stores...those big foil-covered insulation sheets from home warehouse stores in the building supply area...plain walls...

Queen size jersey sheets are cheep and don't wrinkle. V flats (Google vflasts, sue Bryce) are a lite over YOUR budget, but are a lovely option.

Well, all kinds of photography. I am still just learning so just need something to practice with. But I think 1.5m width and 3m length would be enough. I don't have much room in my house for more than that anyway.

Check out fabric shops. I bought felt last week - 72" wide $5 per yard, 1/2 off with a coupon. Good color selection. You can check them out online.

used some iron-on hemming to create a loop at one end and slipped it over a dowel.
I think it cost me $12 for 3 yards?
