There's nothing to it except a couple of pieces on a board with some only somewhat aesthetic bokeh. We can't tell if it's checkmate or not. We can't see any battle. No action at all. Hell, I can't even tell for sure which color is what.

The image needs to say something and this one does not.

Thank you, this is a crop and there wasn't any real subject. I happened to take a pic of a really sweet chess set and it was elevated so i couldn't get any angles on it. Im not a fan of the wb but the marble was an off white :/ ..... I need to go out and take more pics

I receive very little comments in my post as well. Do not take it to heart. As long as you enjoy your photography ultimately that is all that matters.
