I have been frustrated trying to get some good shots of raptors all week. After today, I've hiked about 30 miles since Tuesday. Today finally payed off at a new wetlands area I tried out to the south of me.

I believe these are Red Tails, could stand corrected though?

Better one of American Kestrel. Still can't get as close as I'd like, they like to stay WAY up high:

Just a little sparrow, but still thought it was a good shot (minus the fence as a perch):

There was also a few herons, but I just couldn't get them in close enough for anything decent. I might return Sunday morning and drag the wife along.

#2 would be perfect for a meme ahahahah i like the #1 alot
Good job

Very nice shots.I like pic 1.

The lighting on 1 and 3 is really nice, what are you using for metering ? Number 2 looks like matrix metering, have you tried spot metering to expose for the bird ?

Remember who you are talking to here. I just had to google this and whip out the manual...

Checked the camera and it was set to center weighted metering. Next time I go out I will set it to spot and play with it a little more, see how it turns out.
