Checking in from Daytona Beach, Florida

Figured I'd stop in, say hi, and introduce myself. My name is Dan and I'm from Salisbury, Md. originally. Currently living in Daytona Beach. I manage a small motel across the street from the beach, and plan on spending my life here, unless I hit the lottery, or the sea level rises conciderably.

I've been into photography since the seventies, but only sporadically. I have done it professionally, if not expertly. I worked for a small weekly newspaper as sports/events writer/photographer, and did freelance work for other newspapers. (I also built and ran the darkroom at the Milford Chronicle, in Milford Delaware.)

I've done video for television on the local access channel in Salisbury and had a 26 week run of a program of my own on the local UPN station on Satuday mornings. Even though I've been at it off and on for all these years, I'm still learning, expanding, and trying to get better photos.

If anyone else is from around here, let me know. I'd love to get together with other photogs, especially if I can pick your brains. lol
