Amish father and his sons checking out a new outdoor wood furnace at Penn State's Ag Progress Days. They're popular with rural homes that prefer not to have an indoor wood burner.

Most of them are so industrious, I am surprised the Mennonites haven’t started building their own. Back in my hometown in Kentucky, many Mennonite families have their own niche businesses ( auto mechanic, woodworking, bulk foods, etc ), and each respects and frequents the individualistic enterprises.
I enjoy going to the Washingtonville/Turbotville/Exchange areas of Pennsylvania to see the Amish and Mennonites. Hard working and admirable people. Anyone who can stick to their faith while being ridiculed as they are, are truly religious.

Nice shot! My dad had his barn repaired by a team of Amish workers, and they did an incredible job without a single nail. Wooden pegs for everything. My dad had to rent a van, and go pick them up and take them home each day.
