Today I spent time on my project but not shooting. Just talking to the various homeless people. Theres actually a family, Mother, Father and son.... I also talked again to the Police Officer assigned to that area and he is keeping an eye out for certain individuals for me..... He said that word was out about me among them, in a good way and that I wore my high visibility jacket was good. A work jacket as I am a road flagger...
Today I handed out gloves and I got some food for some of them.
I have to get past the toll it takes, the sheer sadness of it or I will not be effective shooting or writing. It seems an almost impossible task. It makes me wonder how the National Geographic photographers do it when they go to certain places like parts of Africa and deal with absolute poverty or famine and that kind of thing.
