yes, hmm, I take it you don't like it. I'm on the fence, wanted to do something different with this one for her. It's a large Paul Buff softbox, camera right. There are no hotspots on this image but it's a higher key than my recent work.

I didn't say it was bad. Its good, but not great like the other one you posted.

Some women are hot and some are sexy, hard to describe the difference but you know it when you see it right away. Most of your images tick the "hot" box but not the sexy.

Some images are just special. I try with every one but I don't know anyone that good that every image is a oh wow! As far as the lighting, it's not hot on my iPad or my calibrated monitor. I double checked and the histogram is actually on the lower end.

No no! I mean the overall image is bright. Not in a histogram way but a lighting way.

I don't want it to seem like I am coming down on you. You do great work! My feedback is that you have mastered fully lighting a scene, now it's time to play with it and add some dynamic flair. Shadows are a good thing.

Great setting, I like the rays. So what if they are fake. I'm not a big fan of reality in photography unless you are documenting something as truth. However, the shoes exactly together and touching seems out of kilter with the seductive nature of the image.

i think the light rays were a nice addition to this.
im even ok with the lack of shadowing here.
i think it is far more often a problem of too much shadow than too little.
i would be more than happy with this pic. (no, i mean really..send me a poster size please)
