Photos NOT OK to edit
I was watching and shooting the blooms on this cactus for a while and they were juuuuuust about to open my 60D broke something and I was down to just my film camera that isn't confirmed light proof. I did break down and put a fresh film in it and shot the open blooms, can't wait to develop them, fingers crossed!

I got the 30D yesterday so today I picked the freshest bloom and took some shots.
I'm shooting in jpeg mode instead of raw like I normally would because I only have a 32MB card for it for now and it only saves 2 raw files lol I'm actually quite intrigued with shooting in jpeg after seeing these results...first one 60D Raw, second 30D jpeg large, both in similar light, things that make you go hmmmm.....

These are my two favourite shots but I actually prefer today's shot :)
Would love to hear your thoughts, thanks for taking a look!

I like the second photo best. The darker background helps set the flower off more.

Are you in art shows? You sure seem talented enough.

Thanks ladies :)

Aw well aren't you awesome?! Thanks!
Not yet, but I have my first showing Sept/Oct in a local gallery in a photography store, I'm thrilled and scared all at once about it ;)

Hey T :) not really a secret but definitely still evolving and likely will change a bit over spring/summer. I will upload the current set to my Flickr and share when I'm on the computer later ;)

Wow! How did you accentuate that curve on those leaves on the second image? Very nice BnW shots!

Thanks! Biggest thing to getting that definition is light, here it is lit both from above and from right/behind camera ;)

Great shots, and good luck on your show.

Hey T, it took a while but I finally got the tenative set uploaded, it is very much still not final. The only one that is 100% non negotiable is the Weeping Willow, that was my first from the car shot that took my breath away, it HAS to be included ;)
