I wanted to thank you all for your kind comments and awesome suggestions!!! I didn't say so before, but these photos are a mixture of Cindy's protest camp and Bill O'Rielly Counter Protesters. It's amazing how diverse the feelings are on this subject. I purposely didn't say who was who in these photos because I didn't want to bring political fire to either side.
Thanks you guys for looking. It was a very interesting and emotional shoot. (Both sides)

I personally am leaning more towards the first b&w conversion. Just needs more contrast, for my liking, thats all. But you should go after what you want.

Hey guys, following your general ideas, I took the black and white image, added a dupe layer, added noise, and then adjusted fill and opacity. I then made another layer where I worked only to desaturate, and a third layer to adjust brightness and contrast. I dig it! Thank you so much for the suggestions.
