I'd never noticed the snake swimming in from the right. Here's a different crop showing it.

Very nice shot, and very nice cinnamon color on the bird! Yeah, in the first shot, I was looking at that trying to figure out what it was. The larger context makes it clear.

That's an amazing capture! I do love the top image you posted, it's a very nice closeup of this beautiful duck. But this wider view showing the whole snake in the water is incredible!
