Circular filter and focus issues

Today i sat out to test out my Circular polarizer to remove reflections from a pond. I attached it to my 18-55 vr. Every time i focus, my circular polarizer has to be readjusted. This is a pretty big problem for me. My question is: Does the 35mm 1.8G have the same moving part in the front when it focuses?

This is one of the reasons that 'most' higher end lenses have internal focusing.

The front parts of the 35mm do not rotate when focused but the 18-55 does, if that's what you're asking.

IF and the filter threads rotating are two different issues. A lens can move the filter threads, but still not rotate them.

Sorry, i meant the latter.

Since the filter threads do not rotate during focus, the CPL would not need to be adjusted (unless you pan or tilt the camera).
