Just performed a clip test on my year old Eco-Pro fixer.
Film (Tri-X) did not clear after 6 minutes.

Opened a brand new Eco-Pro fixer (just purchased from B&H).
Film still unchanged after 5 minutes.

Has anyone had this experience?
Could a gallon of fixer go bad if the seller has it for too long in stock?
Perhaps Eco-Pro is a slower seller than other brands?

Would hate to throw it out.

The film clip you're using to test is from undeveloped film, right?

Thank you for the response compur. Wound up getting an answer in a different forum. What happened was I originally used the Legacy Eco-Pro fixer STRAIGHT for the clip test instead of using it as I always do for regular fixing (1:4). Apparently, without the addition of the water, Legacy Eco-Pro will not clear film. Re-did the clip test using the Legacy at 1:4. Worked like a charm! Thank you once again! Bob
