Close-up? Underground? Is it Landscape?

I'm not sure that this is the appropriate thread for cave photography, but I can't see anywhere else. This photo was taken nearly 50 years ago in Reed's Cave, Devon, UK. It is of a helictite called 'The Little Man' for obvious reasons. A helictite is a stalagtite, stalagmite or column that is warped by air currents. This helictite is only about 10cm tall, and is one of the best in the UK. The cave is now closed, so very few people will now have the opportunity to see this.

C & C would be welcome.

Plus it's something that took hundreds or thousands of years to form.

Nice, first let me say that as someone who has lugged a camera through a cave....you have my kudos. Cave photography is not easy!

For C&C, I like the composition. The only thing I would improve would be to change the angle of the light, if you make it off center you can increase the shadows and provide a better sense of depth. Too bad they closed the cave, guess you can't go try again with that formation. Over here in the US they just shut down most east coast caves for the next several years to stop White Nose syndrome from killing all the bats.
