We have had a lot of thunderstorms recently. This was after it stopped raining this afternoon. Not sure what this cloud formation is. I have seen it a few times before but never grabbed a shot until today.

They're mammatocumulus - literally "mammary clouds." They generally form near severe thunderstorms. My family in TX have been posting several photos on FB of the clouds. Apparently they're all over the state right now accompanied by heavy amounts of rain.

Like, deathly amounts. Several places (both municipalities and residents) aren't equipped to handle this amount of rain. :/

San Marcos, TX near my area has had record flooding. The ground is so saturated that we are getting flash flooding when the heavy rains hit. The good side to it all is the lakes are being replenished and helping with the drought but it is coming at a cost.
