Is the burn out intentional?

It's an amazing shot, except for that sun flare. Is it possible to go and shoot this again? It would be perfect if it wasn't for the sun. Try not to shot directly into the sun next time, that way you won't get the flare but will still get the light on the water and such.

I think the flare gives the picture a bit more character. It may be possible to try this shot again when the weather gets better.
