Collage, Montage or other?

What is the complation of hundreds of pictures that complie to make an overall portrait or the like, called? I'm not sure what words to search for to get my answer.

Thanks, but I don't think photomanipulation is what I'm after. One example that comes to mind is of Eddy Vedder (Pearl Jam). Hundreds of very small pictures put together that compile to make one large portait of of Eddy Vedder. The small pictures are arranged so the predominate color in each indivdual picture forms the large portrait.
Hopefully this is a better explanation of what I'm after!

They are called Photomosaics (maybe Photo-mosaic.. not sure on hypen =p)
