Made a video of what I did today with the tractor.

So I did something crazy. I took a gamble of $150 of digital & film camera lot. There are some interesting ones included, they are untested but they all look in excellent condition..some even come with the original manuals. I had a lot of fun doing this last time and made some profit reselling them later.

I am mainly interested in - but not why I bought it - is the Sony CD Mavica cameras. Has two of them. Man I remember these in school and I always wanted to shoot with them. Will be fun!

Hopefully they all work but you never know with aging electronics. They really look clean and well taken care of...not even dirty!

So we shall see. Worst case scenario I'm out $150. Best case I'll break even or close to it and I had fun testing, cleaning and repairing them on the rainy days.

It came in today. They don't allow batteries to have any charge so I have to wait to let it charge before I can play with it but first impressions are that it feels like a more premium camera than your other entry level cameras. It does have a rugged like feeling and the viewfinder while smaller than the Z6II I had, it's incredibly bright and clear, like crystal clear. Last time I had a DSLR was a Nikon D610 and it wasn't as clear as this.

I like that it's K mount so I can natively mount all the awesome vintage Pentax glass which should be fun. Brings me back to when I started photography.

It's a lot more smaller than I thought, but it's also quite a bit chunky too. It looks nice though, almost reminiscent of their larger medium format line, especially with the green light around the shutter button. That's really cool.

Everyone raves about the sensor, it has good IQ and colors or so I am told. It's unique I guess?

It may not be my forever camera but it's good enough for now until I can save up to buy something better. I am looking forward to getting some old glass for it.

There's a pancake lens I wanna get which will be really fun!

Howdy Folks! I hope everyone is doing well. Looks like it from the thread. Life just zoomed past me for the past few weeks, not sure how I missed it all. Weather here has been warm and humid, the kind I don't like. Tried to convince the Frau that we need to relocate to New Mexico or Arizona, specifically Flagstaff in AZ, but she's not having it. I don't mind dry heat, but I'm not a fan of humidity.

It's been raining a lot, and today the temps dropped to 58F for a large part of the day. Given that, a lot of things are blooming, like the roses and the hibiscus. I have zinnias and marigolds coming up, although some critter topped all of the marigolds, but fortunately the leaves are coming back. The scarlet clover that was supposed to grow to 8" in height is more like 18" at the moment, and it had a glorious flush of color for about a week, but the flowers have dried up. The white clover, which should only get to 4" because it is a dwarf variety hasn't bloomed yet.

I haven't been out with the camera in quite some time, so I grabbed some shots in the yard with the iPhone, which I'll post in the garden thread. Looking forward to going back out in a week or so with the camera, but we'll see.

Finally, I went to see a friend who is a kinesiologist due to an issue with my neck and right shoulder. Let me tell ya something, when they do deep tissue manipulation that stuff hurts! He found a tight node just below the shoulder blade and the pain shot up all the way into my neck and my eyes crossed so hard they swapped sockets. Honestly though, I'll put up with that pain if it will relieve my long term pain. Aging is for the birds.
