Colombian Chachalaca

[Donde]

I've posted these guys before. A type of guan this species is endemic to Colombia. They are named for their races call.

Great shot and a nice catch light in the eye.

Very nice bird.....

They remind me of our Turkey. Do people eat or hunt these?

Very nice shot, I have enjoyed these each time you have shared . Cool looking bird.

Ha ha they don't make a races call they make a raucous call. Yes they do get shot and eaten but not that I know of in my area.
