Very nice indeed. Isn't it amazing how nature can provide such beautiful colors.
Smoke, thank you for looking and commenting, and yes, it is. Especially since I'm a confessed color junkie. ;-)

I'm almost due west of you in AL, our spring here has been sort of on and off. Which has been good actually as it has prolonged the blooming process. I live in a woods, that comes alive with wildflowers every spring. Normally they all bloom and are gone quickly with the heat, but this year they have lingered.

It has definitely been on and off here as well. I went out this morning and, for the second time in a row, I didn't come back with a single frame. I did take my camera off the tripod and looked at a couple of potentials, but wasn't happy enough with any of them. I got the feeling that I'm still just a little bit too early. It's supposed to start to warm up from today forward so I hope that we get an explosion of everything that has been waiting to bloom. Then again, it could be that the cold weather mixed in with an occasional nice day (as it has been for weeks now) caused everything to just sort of bloom but not really get in the full mode. It sounds like you've been having better luck than I have.
