Shepherds pie is made with sheep meat, cottage pie is with other meats, in this case ground beast. No bacon or Maple syrup, we are poor pensioners.

Edit: Also sometimes called Chinese pie.

I just make things but all you need to do is a Google search for any of the three names I provided above & take your pick of the infinite variations of this dish.

When I first starting dating my wife, she shared an apartment with her girlfriend who would make Chinese pie (which I never heard of) & it was loaded with garlic. It spoiled a few romantic evenings. Funny now, after 50 years of marriage this year but a downer @ the time.
