What a cracking shot and view, must of had clean windows.

They weren't perfectly clean, but fairly large aperture of f/5.6 and manual focus makes the dirt go away...

Yeah, you would be surprised and what kind of shots you can get from an airplane window seat. I got an incredible shot of Mt. Rainier years ago, can't even tell it was shot from a plane window.
