Greetings and salutations, TPF community!

I am the Community Manager at DPReview.com. I'm still new to the team, relatively speaking, and have been focused extensively on taking care of our internal community.

After our forum upgrade to, you guessed it, XenForo , I've been meaning to turn my attention more to all the great camera and photography communities out there. I came across TPF and was intrigued by the relatively long history you have here as well.

Greetings, Mathew! Nice to have you visiting us. This forum has been around for a couple of decades, first started in the founder's living room - he was thrilled when he reached 100 members. The site was on vBulletin for several years before switching to Xen Foro.

I've been here long enough to recall when debates over film vs digital photography were a hot button topic - now I'm finding enthusiasm for the invasion of AI into photography.

Blasphemy evolves with the times, it seems. Enjoy your stay!

Hi Matthew. I check your site https://www.dpreview.com/ daily for interesting articles. I often refer others back to your reviews of equipment when people on other photo forums like here are looking for specific cameras by price, purpose, etc. DRPReview is an in-depth resource for equipment buying guides, reviews, etc that I often use. Thanks all! @terri, it's interesting you mention AI. We've had some debates in our community around the use of AI as well. Especially with the use of AI in image generation/editing, as well as simply copying ChatGPT content. We're still figuring out what guidelines might be best without cutting off the use of AI entirely.
