Interesting how you transformed some swampy land into a thing of beauty. I personally prefer the first one since I like warmer colours (may have something to do with being tired of winter). The building on the right looks at first glance to be a rounded hill, with some kind of monuments on it. I think you did well keeping the scene dark, and thereby allowing our imagination to fill in the dark spots.

The second image has an interesting effect in that the dark band of clouds appear to be a distant mountain, with the space between them and the lower mountains to be a valley. It is clear from the first image that this is NOT the case, but if I had only the second image to look at, I'd have to look carefully to see how to interpret the image.
