I posted a thread yesterday about my photography assignment. I'm working with composition, and for this photo here I was trying to incorporate contrast (shadows of the grass) as well as shape. Our photos are all B&W, so I changed this one to B&W as well...

I took this after I took it with my 35mm SLR ... it should be close to what the real thing will look like after I develop it. Comments and critiques, please!

I'm afraid I don't get this one. I really don't see where you were going. There's not much contrast ('though that will differ if you shot the other on film) and almost no apparent shadow.

Yeah, the lines on this one kind of got washed out for some reason. I'm hoping there's more on the film one ... the thin streaks on the rock are the shadows.

It's not prominent enough int he image IMO. I think I understand your intent, but I'm afraid your execution doesn't do much for me.
