Hi

I am looking for a very compact manual SLR. I own a Ricoh XR-7 and I just find it too chunky to carry around with me everywhere. I want a nice manual camera I can have on me wherever I go without it being annoying to carry. I checked out the Halina 35X, that's about the size I want but maybe not good enough.
any suggestions?

thanks,

Thomas

Don't knock your XR-7. The older cameras are a little bigger and heavier because they have more metal in them, but if your camera is working well , hang on to it. If it has a Pentax mount(I think so) look at the Pentax ZX-M. It is a lighter mostly plastic camera that will take the lens/es that you have. Your Ricoh will take Pentax manual focus lenses also. If you prefer manual cameras, the Pentax would be a good choice with the lenses you have. Check this page:
