Interesting image. Care to share the location and some idea of exactly what it is we are looking at? Thanks.

It's cool because I can't tell the size of this thing. I like the B&W worth real white and black.

This was just downstream of the Godefoss (Waterfall of the Gods) in northern Iceland.
About 31 degrees and a very strong wind.
It was a thickly overcast day and photography was difficult.
In fact, there was so much diffuse light that, later on in the day, we were walking to another falls (Foss means falls) and I could barely see the snow under my feet.
This was taken from about 50 feet upstream of the posted shot of the compaction.
There had been more than 3 or 4 feet of heavy snow that had self-compacted during warmed days.
At another place there was a closed building and the undrifted snow was well above the doorknob, almost chest height.
The closer to the center of Iceland the more heavy snow.

A really bad "Wilton" project.

Traveller, thanks for the information. It is appreciated.
