Blind Barber

It's a traditional barber shop (wet shaving and all) that ALSO serves drinks. How awesome is that? And you get a complimentary drink with each haircut or trim. Pretty neat, eh?

Not to mention, their website is aweeeeeeeeesome.

Sounds great on paper, at least :) That link won't open for me, not in Chrome and nor in IE. Not sure why, I'd really like to check it out!

Have you visited a good barber before?

Really? It won't open in Chrome? I wouldn't expect it to in IE, as IE sucks. But it's HTML5 and CSS3... so maybe that's where the problem lies.

No, I've never gone to a legit barber. Unfortunately the Blind Barber is only in New York and Los Angeles. It would take me about 5 hours 59 mins to get there. At a distance of 347 mi. Because I'd only go to an actual barber if I could get drinks.

I'm having some problems with accessing some site, lately. Photobucket won't load either, for some reason.

Sounds awesome. When my hairs that grow on my face (I won't call it beard yet) reaches a decent standard, I might visit one. There are a few in Norway that are supposed to be good old fashioned barbers. They don't serve drinks, though at one there are pictures of ladies in not-so-much clothes, I think :)

Seems to open fine in IE9. And yeah, that's a pretty cool site!

Darn it, it won't open yet! I'll try on one of the uni's computers tomorrow.

Opens fine w/Firefox, pretty sweet.

I have a great Barbour in Edmond I have been going to sense I was knee high to a duck... no drinks though.

But Doctor... The drinks are important.

Yes but so is never having to explain what you want to your barber. The same guy has been cutting my hair every 2 months for 10 years now.

I guess we have different priorities... Yours lie within not having to utter a single word to your barber, whereas mine lie with consuming b00ze. ;)

"Redefining modern manhood". Big words :)

They seem legimate. The website is pretty neat, I have to agree. All LA and NY people on here should visit them! With photos to share!

I'm glad you were finally able to access the site. What did it take to get to it? Different browser?

School computer, still won't load on my own laptop. Weird stuff.

You know, the reason I'm into traditional wet shaving isn't just to go a little differently than others. I truly believe that Gillette is talking bs with their new products. All those blades and vibrating razors. And the lather on pressurized can. I truly recommend someone willing who consider shaving a chore to check out traditional tools. You get much much more control of your shave, you will be using healthier products and you will learn to master a craft that relatively few people do. Much like understanding photography on a higher level than the average snappist, you will understand your facial topography and to use a proper razor.
