FINALLY what I wanted to hear lol jk. But the more I look at it the more I'm becoming happier with it as it is.

And in a perfect, perfect world, it sells like crazy, becomes the scene in a move, and I win the Nobel Peace Prize....it could happen

Whenever I am crazy about a picture and other people don't see it, I take a step back and try to see if too much of the impact of the photo is in my own mind and I'm not communicating to others but just talking to myself.

The worth of an image is totally unrelated to whether people will buy it in great numbers.

I see what your saying, and I agree, it's a fine line at times, I'm sure.

I imagine everybody struggles with their own perception of how an image came out and hope that it's easily perceived by others as to how it should be seen for full impact.

I think my goal here is more to see if I'm hitting the fundamentals, nothing more than that. I have no official photography education, other than credits in Youtube and other online real-estate photography groups; real estate photography being my main focus for the past two years.

I've recently picked up a local magazine client that hired me for my real estate photography but has also gotten me into other types of photography that I'm not very familiar with, so I joined here to get cc on how my photography skills are, in general.


As for the worth of an image being unrelated to it's value, I strongly agree with you as well. But honestly, when I say it that way, I'm truly hoping to be able to capture an image that has that much of an impact and takes off like crazy. I would not mind some-sort of a $10,000 usage license, and that price could be on the very low-end.

Photography is my business, 90% of it being real eastate, but I love photography. So if I can take pictures that are good enough, not only to me, but are nice enough to want to be purchased, I'm in that business.

Feel like I rambled there for a bit, my apologies. But I do, and always will, appreciate other people's cc on here; other than the few knuckle-heads that are on here I'm sure lol, but I'm a patient man.

I also cropped and did some other tomfoolery by moving the odd bit of clothes, etc more in line with the line of footsteps leading up to the group. A closer examination tells a good story in that the group to the right are all fully clothed and in warm clothes at that, while the left side group are dressed more like surfers though nary a board is to be seen. I'm speculating they are a part of some kind of Polar Bear Club as they seem to be humorously posing for the clothed group, some of whom have cameras. I did clarify the clothed group but God only knows what the internet will do with the blacks. I dinked a bit with the color balance and got rid of some color cast.
