How do I restore my saved user passwords to Firefox from a backup file?

Sadly that one is not going to work, I was unable to export them properly, I have all the DB files but.....

Aren't the passwords saved as a text file?

:| Give them a little more credit then that many of the opensource coders are security nuts.

They are saved as a text file but the only plaintext data is the website. The passwords are encrypted in some way.
