Thank you! Taken with my Tamron 18-400mm at 400mm. f/18, 1/2500, ISO 6400. I've been experimenting with using smaller apertures for deeper DOF. One of the selling points the Tamron rep pointed out is the fact that is does near-macro which works for me.Love the macro
Thanks! Believe it or not, that pale grey blows out really easily. I had to adjust the speed to keep the butterfly from being blown out while maintaining the red and having the aperture at f/18.Knockout shot, very dramatic with that pale butterfly on the brilliant red.![]()
Thanks!A very nice shot ...![]()
Thanks! Yes, the Tamron beats my Sigma 105mm macro when it comes to reaching out and getting something without getting too awfully close, although the Tamron lets me get within 10" of a subject at 400mm if I want to.Spectacular image! I would not have guessed that was at f/18. Amazing he stuck around long enough for you to get the shot. I've learned the value of long lenses for catching these little buggers!
Thanks!Nice shot!
