No Diamond Ring...

Excellent work! Sharp as a briar, as we used to down South. ;) Nice postures, too. I like all the greenery in the second one.

The mockingbird is one species of bird whose range doesn't seem to extend all the way up here. I'm actually grateful. As sweet looking as they are, the ones in my former back yard in Georgia were the self-appointed Guardians of the Feeders. Anytime another bird would land on a perch, one would swoop in and drive it away. Then it would return to its sentinel position, wherever it decided was best for the day. I watched this behavior over and over again.

They didn't even care much for the food - they'd rake it out with their beaks in sweeping motions until most of it landed on the ground. :irked:

Don't miss 'em.

Thanks! Yep, this one does that but is selective. It doesn't seem to chase away the smaller birds, but will chase away the doves, which I don't mind much. On the positive side, it doesn't sit outside my window at 3AM serenading the entire dang county... the second image actually had a twig crossing over part of its face, and I used Topaz Photo AI to remove it; I think it did a good job without destroying the image.

Wow. No obvious evidence of the editing. Nice!
