Since my camera is suffering some problems, I borrowed my brother's 550D for some shooting. The weather was incredible. First, the sun was out normally. Then it went behind some clouds and made a very nice light show. At the end, it was really foggy and the warm light was replaced with colder bluish tint.

#1: Home town. Grand parent's house in the left somewhere. My elementary school is also here somewhere.

#2: The small fjord arm where I grew up

#3: "Mjelkhaug", a mountain that just touches 1000m a.s. I try to get up there once a year.

#4: Same town as in #1. Fog starting to come in.

#5: an island I've never been to. I always forget its name! The lighting was awesome

#6: small town called Sæbøvik in lower right. Don't go there very often.

#7: the lighting has changed. Here's the fjord in going north-west. Small house there, I think it's a vacation house.

#8: a small part of the neighbourhood I grew up in. Our house can't be seen here. I've spent many hours fishing on that pier - and caught some nice ones as well!

#9: another view of the neighbourhood. The Sun popped out one more time until I was short of card space

I was located on a small "mountain". Not really a mountain, I was only around 150m above sea level. Still, there's a nice view in all directions. It took me about 15 minutes to walk up there from where I live.
I have tons of other places to visit when I've got the time! I love this place.

Incredible shots!
Highly doubt you're a beginner though.

amazing! how long does it take you to process one image?

Thank you! My computer is running uber slowly today, just loading into Photomatix took around 5 minutes alone! The rest, around 5-10 minutes. Depends on whether I need to clone something out, locally edit stuff (such as the mountain shot, getting that golden mountain colour clearer took a few minutes).. sometimes I'm on pixel a 10-20 pixel basis making sure I don't cross the lines with the dodge/burn tool etc.

Ouch! it takes me about 15 seconds to load 5 images into photomatix.

My pc is Core i7 w/8gb ram

Georgeous photos, and it looks like georgeous place to live too! How many people live there?

In this town, I'd guess around 1000. All the houses aren't shown here, though. In the whole municipality, 13254 people (2011). It sure is a fine place to live. 3 hours to drive to the closest real cities in both directions (we drive either north or south, hehe). We have one main road that goes through the whole municipality. Either you're driving through towns, or there are smaller roads leading to them. But you always need to get back onto the main road to get anywhere else  Mountains and valleys rule the eastern side, the fjord the western side.

It's beautiful.

WOW!! Looks like a wonderful place to grow up. AND, a multitude of photo opportunities!! I am jealous!

That first shot is a definite wall hanger and should be printed really large. Nice work. Time to move out of the beginners area.

beautiful scenery, nicely portrayed!
