Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hey all,

I'm just getting started with my photography business. I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to pass along any contracts that a professional might use between themselves and their clients. Specifically, something I can have my clients sign that specifically authorizes me to use their photos for advertising and promoting my business.

Thanks.

Photography Contract
There is no model release in that contract.

You need a model release clause in your contract.

Join a professional photographers association like the PPA.

Get the inexpensive book Business and Legal Forms for Photographers by Tad Crawford. Tad explains why the various contracts say what they say.

You might also get A Digital Photographers Guide to Model Releases by Dan Heller

You also should have a qualified attorney look your contract over to be sure it conforms with the laws of your state. It is common for retail photographers to review and modify their contract a couple, 3 times a year.
