Finally! Found a shop in North Hampton MA while camping up that way this weekend that sold Counter Culture coffee--even had a cup of it (my first pour over... and it was sooo good). So tonight I decided to set up the "studio" and shoot.

Lit by 1 Profoto B2 in a gridded 2' octa, camera left, as main, and 1 1'3x1'3 gridded box camera right as fill.

Lighting and processing looks really nice! Not sure if you intended it this way, but it feels like an ad. If it is supposed to read that way, then I suggest moving the mug so that the handle doesn't cover the wording on the bag. If it's supposed to be more of a still life, then maybe the arrangement needs to be a bit messier. You know, that "I spent an hour making my hair look like I haven't done anything at all to it" kind of messy Maybe the bag turned over and the beans spilling out, the biscotti half eaten or broken...stuff like that.

Nice hand burr grinder and mason jar mug, by the way That leather holder thing is neat.

I like the color treatment, and --with the letter font on the bag-- it makes this look like an ad from the 40s/50s. Nice work!

Thanks for the detailed response. I was going for more of a still life... But I'm terribly not-so-good at the "planned mess" that still life images require. And thanks! I love the hand grinder--always a nice start to the morning. And if you want, just google "Loyal Stricklin." They're the company that makes the mug--well worth the $30 in my opinion [emoji5]️

It seems like you ladies and gents are a huge fan of my lighting, so here's a wide-angle shot of my lighting setup.

The left flash is a B2 in a 2' Octabox, with a 50' grid, at 10.0 (so, full power). The right-hand flash is the fill, and is in a 1.3'x1.3' softbox, also with a 50' grid, at about 6.4? power, I think. I know it was around half power, but I can't quite remember the exact setting.

The biggest improvement I've seen with these lights is the ability to shape light, especially having the grids I can add. Those allow me to really control how the light falls on my subject, which I absolutely love. Sure, the umbrella's and SB600's I used worked well enough, but now I feel like I can truly control the light.
