I like it... Good depth of field( see what i did there ), Great clouds, Nicely framed.Can’t tell if it’s my screen or not but seems a bit out of focus.

Yeah its hard to tell, but it def looks out of focus. Looks like your horizon isnt straight either. Its dipping to the right, but thats an easy fix. I'm trying to figure out a better composition but I cant seem to find it. Maybe closer?

Fred, nice shot. I like it. However, I think the main subject is the cropland in the foreground.

DO u have the colour pic of this, I think it would look really nice with the colours of the crops.

I think the picture has little definition and contrast. Those clouds are good, but they deserve a little more emphasis! :thumbup:

@35mm4me: It may be a little OOF, not my best lens perhaps , but on another forum (just for film) it looks sharper than here.

@Golfcart: It was hand held, but I think it's pretty straight: the field drops off to the right.

@Designer: Looking over the crops was important, yes, and this element has strong emphasis. I nearly called it Wheat Field with Church.

@Joshua:It was taken using T-Max 400, a B&W film from Kodak.

@cayto: Here's another photo I took at the time, cropped to emphasise the sky (I've tweaked the contrast just slightly):

I like that it is film.
Number one is a better crop. Knowing it is filmI don’t think it needs to be perfectly in focus.Maybe a tripod next time.


I have started taking my shots as they come without any croppingor tweaking .it makes you really think.
