Couple of Questions about the old Canon FX?

Does anyone know if the Canon FX fitted leather case will fit the Canon AE1?
Next, since the old camera uses mercury batteries, no longer available, is there anything on the market that will replace them?

Not sure about the leather case...

The batteries for the Canon FX should be available from any serious camera store, even if they are not made with mercury. Do a search on Google with the name of the battery and most likely you'll end up with a few camera stores selling it.
