It is indeed.. a couple on the beach.
Second one has some interest where they are interacting.
Overall, it's mostly just a shot of a couple people on the beach. Not too much else to it.

Fair enough - I don't do a lot of portraiture and just grabbed a few shots at the time...

I like the first one. It´s sharp and nicely exposed and the girl is engaged with you. I´m a snapshot guy myself.
