Covered Bridge from the inside

This is the inside of the Barrackville Covered Bridge. It dates back to the Civil war and has been preserved well. It was used as a one lane bridge up into the 1980's but now it is used as a landmark.

Nice shot. At one time they had to shovel snow into the bridge so the horse--drawn sleighs could make it across.
