Crab Spider

About 1/4 the size of a house fly, this guy hides in yellow flowers and then when a bee comes along it grabs it and eats it, which is amazing since the bee is at least 5 times bigger than the spider!

Yes, unfortunately. I was in a place where I couldn't get any closer so the crop takes out about 2/3 of the width and height of the original. Also the stalk holding the spider was waving in the wind and the autofocus couldn't keep up with the rapid motion so this was the best focus out of about 15 or so exposures. Conditions conspired against me that morning.

In retrospect I probably should have grabbed the stalk and relocated it and the spider to a more accessible place, out of the wind, if he would have tolerated it without running away.
