The sky looks a little noisy but it's actually dirt and dust - the pic is taken in Afghanistan.

Did you do alot of pp? there is a halo around the white structure...

Was it really dusty? With a long exposure night shot you'd expect to see stars in the sky...were they blocked out by the dust in the air?

That came out really well. For the aperture being so wide you got a ton of detail in that shot.
