Critique On Some of My Photos

Back to the discussion of the pictures.

1, 2, 3 & 4 are, IMO, just casual pictures of what you saw with no real obvious intent to make something or to concentrate our attention on centers of interest. (the vignetting on the hockey players is excessive.

#4 & 5 are, again imo, decent attempts to show something.

#4 is, I think, hurt by the excessive darkness on the right, making an inchoate jumble of the sihouetted shore, and that little bit of shore on the left which destroys the entire impression of limitless water.

#5 is an interesting path but there is so much light above in the trees that there's nothing particularly interesting or shadowy or mysterious. And the processing doesn't do anything to reinforce any feelings. It;s just a simple path.
