Please give me your comments... This was a scary shot to take, as I was leaning over the side of a hanging bridge, and that croc (or is it a gator?) was over 30 feet long and must have weighted well over a couple thousand pounds!

Is this pic so boring that after 71 views I have not gotten a single comment? I know it's not colorful (I will admit the subject is a bit dull in color), but lets hear what you have to say... What about the same pic in B+W to highlight the textures of the croc and the ground?

Sorry, but it does nothing for me. I don't have enough knowledge to critique from a technique standpoint, but it doesn't look like it was dangerous to take. From the title I was expecting a full on front view of him trying to take your arm off!

there just isn't enough of the animal to see, or perhaps the angle just doesn't present it's best profile.

As Trevor1t has said, there isn't enough of the animal to see - the viewer can't even tell if this animal is alive or dead. It is a nice snapshot, but that's really all it is.

I think it would be a lot more effective if you could have taken the picture from the front with him look at you coming towards you. The lower the angle, the better.

The image seems very flat and there is nowhere for my eyes to go. Try getting a lower angle. Lay down on the bank and get on his level- it's not going to eat you... Also, the croc (yes it is a croc) was NOT 30 feet long. Judging from the size of the gravel below him, it was a good 15 feet max but probably closer to 10 feet.
