The only comment I can come up with is WOW! The colors and textures are fantastic. It's also superbly sharp, which I like a lot. I feel like I could reach in there and touch those hairs.

Thanks! I did do some sharpening, and a small crop.. but that was it. Two flashes.... one 1/1 from high rear.... and a 1/4 power pop from top. 1:1 Macro with my Tokina

I like it. Good use of color hues to bring out the subject. Here the main contrast is due to sharpness of the anthers compared to the flower pedals. The small splash of green at lower right might be a debatable point - too small to add anything while upsetting the color scheme or a nice little accent. Like the rotational orientation. Cropping and DOF are just about right too, though I may have looked more closely at the in-focus pedal part at upper left. Great shot overall.

Thanks! I have about a dozen different crops I tried.. sometimes hard to decide what to go with. Like this one better?
