CS5 Black and White Problem

I've never really ran into this before and I can't seem to fix it. The black and white editor is not allowing me to use the presets. It is "grey'd" out. I can use the sliders but a lot of times I like to use a preset and then adjust from it. Any suggestions?

I've never seen that either. You might check the blending mode.

If you are a NAPP member, you could ask on the NAPP members only Photoshop forum. Lots of certified Photoshop pros hang out there.

Try resetting the settings. I think its like Cntrl Alt Shift while starting Photoshop and it will ask if you want to delete the settings. Usually whenever I would have a glitch which happened quite often ( especially with CS4 ) it would fix everything. You just have to reset all your preferences for things like cursors and mouse controls etc.
