Looks like you did a good job panning, the dog is pretty well in focus and the blurred background really shows his movement. Nice.

Dont be afraid! I was panning so I was trying to get just the dog in focus.

It is an Italian Greyhound. Looks just like mine. They are quite fragile. (or can be) Mine only has three legs due to the whole fragile thing. But they are great dogs and he can still out run alot of other four legged dogs lol.

Great shot in my opinion. Nicely executed.
