Like the blues in this, love the flames, don't like the DOF as you mentioned. You've pretty well hit it dead-on with your self criticism

I like the colours - Even though the DOF might be a bit off it's still a cool pic

I like the DOF on cup but it doesn't look like the flames are in focus which is what I would prefer, otherwise nice shot.
