1 - your need to focus on the eyes. also, not enough DOF

#1: Try it without cropping the ears out.

#2 doesn't have much energy and drama

#3-4 your focus looks a little soft to me

I would have to agree with the others... They look like snapshots. Get some light on them and hit the eyes with the focus. Practice in AV mode and pay attention to the settings the camera chooses. Move the subject away from the background a bit. Just play around a little and see what you get. Learn from every shot you take... You can be a great teacher to yourself.

The first shot i actually took blind, I put the camera on the table and just shot. I was worried and as it turned out I didnt get any shots with the ears.

#3 either your focus is off, or the shutter speed was too slow. I can't really tell without the settings.

#1 did have some potential if the ears werent cut off.

I think it would help greatly for these beginner posts if we could get the camera/lens/settings.

Its hard for me to know what you did wrong sometimes without this info.
