I was on the ship in the photo ( On top the mast ) Yes its real. I liked it. The intent was to get the wake bending its way back behind the ship to lead you back to the bridge and city. The flare does this as well in convergance with a bit of visual tension.

The flare works for me with this procssing.

Did you us an IR filter, or is your camera converted?

Thank You. It is converted. I used the 15mm fisheye for this shot and it will not accept a filter on that lens. The mod tunes the autofocus for the 50mm 1.8 and it is close on the 15mm but you still gotta pull back the ring a hair to get tack.
